Photographing the picturesque
coast of Mendocino, California.

Rugged ocean cliffs, sea caves, rustic-looking fishing piers, colorful fishing boats, and historic buildings are ideal subjects for photography. I found all of this and more in Mendocino, California. This magical place is located three hours north of San Francisco; it overlooks the Pacific ocean and serves up dramatic views of the coastal landscape. I traveled to Mendocino with my wife and took photographs of the various sites with my Leica M240 and Leica Summicron lenses. When I wasn’t snapping pictures or hiking along secluded beach trails and cliffside paths, I was enjoying Mendocino’s unique charm that takes you back in time. It features pastel-colored Victorian houses, 19th century water towers, farm-to-table restaurants, a toy store, and an organic coffee shop.

Point Reyes, California.

I photographed Point Reyes, Sonoma County, Petaluma and Healdsburg. The story, and some of my pictures, are featured on the Leica website.
