Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Roadmap Photography

Yes. All photographs on my site are originals taken by me. A signed Certificate of Authenticity containing details about the photograph is included with every purchase.

All of my fine art photography prints are printed at a full-service professional photography lab located in Southern California that uses today’s most state-of-the-art printers from Canon, Chromira, and Noritsu. The photo lab I use offers high quality prints and services that are typically not available at large retail stores or print-on-demand websites. This means my printing costs are slightly higher, but I a firm believer that my pictures deserve gallery-level print quality. Lastly, I do press checks in person at the photography lab. This extra step allows me to make sure the colors, tones, and contrast in my images is accurate and consistent.

Premium papers and archival inks are used to ensure high quality prints that will last more than 100 years in a typical home display. All prints are sold unmatted and unframed. Please note the colors on your finished print(s) may vary slightly as a result of variations in computer monitor calibrations.

I have four different types of top-quality paper for you to choose from. Matte paper has a smooth classic look that enhances colors and is non-reflective. Glossy paper has a vibrant, crisp and sharp colors and a reflective, glossy surface. Lustre paper has a semi-gloss finish with a subtle, pearl-like texture. Metallic paper has striking colors and contrast, and a metallic shine that “pops.”

My photography prints 11” x 14” and smaller are packaged with care inside cello archival sleeves and housed inside rigid Kraft cardboard mailers to protect against damage and moisture. The Kraft mailers and inserts I use are 100% recycled and manufactured in the United States. They contain no virgin fiber content and are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This certification is given to products that come from responsibly managed forests in the United States that provide a combination of environmental, social and economic benefits. Large-format prints are shipped in sturdy Kraft tubes that are made specifically for pictures, posters and artwork.

All orders are shipped via United States Post Office, unless otherwise specified. Tracking numbers are included with all orders that are shipped within the United States. Orders that are shipped outside United States borders might not be eligible for tracking. Please keep in mind that I am not responsible for shipping delays due to inclement weather, customs delays, etc.
